We are pleased to share that Dr Ubaid Illahi, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction, recently presented his research at the UTSG 2025 Conference, jointly hosted by University College Dublin (UCD) and Trinity College Dublin (TCD).

Over three stimulating days, the conference provided a platform for scholars and practitioners in transport studies from the UK and Ireland to converge. Dr. Illahi, representing his postdoctoral research team, shared early insights from two groundbreaking projects: the TRACT EV and TRACT Mobility Hub applications. These initiatives, funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and the Department of Transport (DOT), are pioneering data-driven solutions for sustainable mobility and electric vehicle infrastructure, underscoring their significance in the field of sustainable transportation.

His sessions sparked insightful discussions and underscored the transformative potential of app-based interventions in shaping the future of transport systems, leaving us inspired and hopeful.
