Hamail Ayaz
Hamail Ayaz is an Assistant Lecturer in Computing, specialising in AI-driven computer vision at ATU Sligo. He pursued his PhD in the School of Computing at ATU, concentrating on eXplainable AI and computer vision-related tasks for the diagnosis of glioma brain tumours. Hamail, a native of Pakistan, started his studies at COMSATS University Islamabad, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in computer science with distinction. He subsequently obtained a master’s degree in computer engineering, during which he investigated advanced imaging protocols and machine learning techniques—specifically generative adversarial networks—for applications in food processing.
