Dr Ruhhee Tabbussum

Dr. Ruhhee Tabbussum is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering and Construction at Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Sligo. Before joining ATU Sligo, she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Teaching Fellow in the Department of Civil, Structural, and Environmental Engineering at Trinity College Dublin, where she contributed to the Water Futures project, focusing on groundwater flood modelling with machine learning approaches as well as studies of climate extremes and future climate scenarios. She also held a National Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, where her research examined compound extremes and large-scale climate indices. With a PhD in Water Resources Engineering and an MTech in Civil Engineering, Dr. Tabbussum is dedicated to advancing climate resilience and disaster preparedness. Her research integrates advanced modelling and machine learning techniques to enhance flood forecasting, climate extremes analysis, future climate modelling and uncertainty analysis.
