Gerard McGranaghan is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, at ATU Sligo. He holds a BSc from the Open University, a BA/BAI in Mechanical Engineering and PhD from Trinity College Dublin. His research interests are in heat transfer/fluidics, surface coatings to enhance heat transfer, materials and manufacturing. Within the PEM Centre he currently supervises a number of researchers in interdisciplinary projects. Gerard began his engineering career as a Mechanical Apprentice with the ESB, and has also worked in Nepal as a UNV, Trinity College Dublin, and ABB Dundalk. He is a member of the ASME and ASTFE.
