Babak Ziaie
Babak Ziaie is a PhD student in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at Atlantic Technological University, working with Dr. Xavier Velay and Dr. Waqas Saleem. His research focuses on topology optimization, additive manufacturing, and finite element modeling for orthopedic implant design. Before this, he completed an MSc in Mechanical Engineering at K.N. Toosi University of Technology in Tehran. He also brings nearly a decade of industry experience in mechanical design, numerical simulations, reverse engineering, and manufacturing process optimization. His current work explores the development of porous hip joint implants with improved mechanical compatibility and biological integration.
