Asif Yar

Asif Yar is a PhD Researcher in Computing at ATU Donegal, working with Dr Shagufta Henna, Dr Marion McAfee and Dr Salem Gharbia. His research lies at the intersection of Graph Machine Learning, Self-Supervised Learning and Few-Shot Learning, with a focus on environmental monitoring and sensor data modelling. His current work investigates techniques for sensor calibration in wireless sensor networks and IoT using dynamic graph models and meta-learning frameworks. Prior to his doctoral studies, Asif completed his Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Sargodha, Pakistan.

His research interests include Graph Neural Networks, Contrastive Learning, Meta-Learning and Transfer Learning, and Time-Series Analysis.
